I haven’t been completely idle in the 7 years since I put this blog on pause. For a couple years, I had a stint as a blogger at Luna Station Quarterly, a short fiction market by women-identified writers. My blog was called Spaceships and Notebooks. (To be honest, I find the name kind of trite. I made it up in five seconds right before I sent an email and now here I am with the consequences of my spontaneity). The focus of my posts was queer speculative fiction, and I usually wrote a bunch of listicles.
I am not entirely sure when, but when I went to dig up my archives, I discovered that LSQ hid all their blog archives and are currently debating what to do with them. Their reasoning is that they don’t want those archives to be scraped for Large-Language Models (LLMs, which are what trains AI software like ChatGPT). I support this! I don’t like ChatGPT and I hate the AI-powered smart summary that appears in all my searches. Furthermore, I don’t want any part of my writing to be used for training (something I don’t know how to stop from happening on this here blog, which is something to figure out for another day).
The drawback is I can no longer link to nearly two years’ worth of monthly blog posts that, upon re-reading, are actually quite good. That is, until I remembered The Wayback Machine exists! Thank you, Wayback Machine, for archiving all of my posts.
For posterity, and because I want an easy reference, here is the complete list of articles I wrote for Luna Station Quarterly.
